Accused Libyan Terror Leader Pleads Not Guilty In Manhattan Court

Libyan al-Qaeda suspect Abu Anas al-Libi pled not guilty Tuesday to terror charges while inside Manhattan federal court.

Al-Libi is charged in the deadly 1998 al-Qaeda bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa.

He was captured in Tripoli during a military raid on October 5, and was later questioned aboard the USS San Antonio in the Mediterranean.

U.S. officials say he was brought to New York over the weekend.

Al-Libi has been under a federal indictment for more than a decade in connection with the twin bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.

More than 200 were killed and thousands wounded in the attacks.
