The crazed stalker of handsome CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was committed to a psychiatric facility Tuesday by a Manhattan judge.
Doctors found that Alex Hausner was unfit to proceed to trial said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon.
It’s unclear how long the scraggly-haired loon will spend in the custody of the Department of Mental Hygiene before he’s stable enough to face stalking and harassment charges for threatening the famous newsman and his hunky lover Benjamin Maisani.
“It could be a week. It could be never,” said Alex Hausner’s lawyer Wendell Cruz.
The schizophrenic Queens native was arrested July 27 when he tried kicking down Cooper’s door, shouting “I’m going to f–k you up!”
This last outburst at at Cooper’s converted firehouse came after a string of unwelcome texts, phone calls and visits to the steely-eyed stud.
The delusional Hausner believes his imaginary friendship with Cooper includes “romantic overtones.”
