Banksy’s latest: Meat truck filled with stuffed animals

A slaughterhouse truck filled with adorable stuffed animals? Yep, sounds like the work of Banksy.

The truck, which has the street artist’s 800-number on it, was spotted in Brooklyn on Thursday, according to Gothamist. The site confirmed Friday that it is, indeed, the work of the now-infamous British satirist. Banksy calls this piece “The Sirens of the Lambs.”

“It was so loud,” a tipster told Gothamist. “Not sure, but I think someone was in the truck banging as if the animals were trying to escape.”

Friday the truck was touring the Meatpacking District and then it will circulate citywide, according to Banksy’s website. Banksy posted a YouTube video Friday with reactions to the truck. This his his 11th work in a month-long series in New York City.

And make sure not to toss any GPS devices inside the truck like someone did with with the mysterious activist’s past vehicular works.

“If you’re the person who stuck a tracking device on the garden truck, you’re now following a car service in Queens,” Banksy says on the video.

Gothamist tracked down the truck Friday afternoon and spoke to the driver, who only identified himself as “Joe.”

“I don’t really know much,” he said. “I’m just a driver, a delivery guy. I’m just here delivering meat. Farm fresh meat.”
