A 2-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a vehicle in Queens.
It happened shortly before midnight Friday as he and his mother crossed Junction Boulevard in Jackson Heights.
Police say the driver of the SUV who hit him stopped and took the child and his mother to the hospital.
Police arrested the driver at the hospital.
Charges are pending.
