A driver has been charged with vehicular manslaughter after allegedly hitting and killing a 3-year-old boy in Queens.
Gilbert Echeverria is also charged with criminally negligent homicide and DWI.
Police say Jaied Figueroa was crossing Junction Boulevard with his mother shortly before midnight Friday in Jackson Heights when he was hit.
Police say Echeverria stopped at the scene and drove them to the hospital, where Jaied was pronounced dead and the suspect was arrested.
