Lamar Odom pleaded not guilty to DUI Wednesday and is working to resolve the case soon, sources told the Daily News.

The Queens-bred baller originally had his arraignment set for Thursday, but his highly respected lawyer pulled a fast-break and advanced the hearing to avoid a media circus.

Odom – now battling rumors of crack addiction – was charged with misdemeanor DUI after an Aug. 30 arrest in Los Angeles.

Cops pulled him over around 4 a.m. for driving too slow in a “serpentine manner” on a major freeway, and he declined drug and alcohol testing.

“Hopefully it will be resolved quickly. (Both sides) are talking,” a well-placed source told The News after the plea.

The next court date is Nov. 8, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney said.

Odom’s lawyer Richard Hutton declined to comment.

The popular athlete became a pop culture superstar when he married reality TV star Khloe Kardashinan Odom after just a month of dating in September 2009.

Khloe reportedly sent Lamar packing over the summer with an ultimatum – kick crack or don’t come back.

She hinted at her heartbreak Tuesday, tweeting that “not all scars can be seen and not all love can be explained.”

“The deepest love is also the hardest to express. Only those in it, understand,” she said on Twitter. “If I love u. Its a deep 4ever love. Ride til the end. Family/friend.Its simply called love. I take it seriously. Dont judge unless u r in it.”

Khloe, 29, is “anxious” to end the marriage but worries that a divorce filing could push Lamar to overdose or commit suicide, according to TMZ.com.

Lamar hasn’t commented publicly on his alleged crack bender but surfaced briefly two weeks ago, using Twitter to rail at his estranged father, Joe Odom, and praise the Kardashian family.

“I have let this man and many others get away with a lot of sh–. He wasn’t there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons,” Lamar, 33, said.

The rant came after Joe Odom bashed the Kardashian clan and called momager Kris Jenner an “evil b—ch” in an interview with RadarOnline.com.

“I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together,” he said.

“He is my downfall!” Lamar tweeted in response. “He (is) disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself.”

The basketball star has been the subject of intense speculation about his alleged drug use after he checked out of a center for drug and alcohol addiction after just one day last month.

A source confirmed to The News that the NBA player was back on the loose just hours after People magazine reported he’d entered rehab.

Lamar’s sports agent, Jeff Schwartz, has not responded to multiple messages seeking comment.

Lamar has said in the past that his father was a heroin addict and that he has struggled with his own demons. He was suspended in 2001 for twice violating the NBA’s anti-drug policies.

The 6-foot-10 power forward won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010 and 2011 but is now a free agent after spending last season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
