A Brooklyn mom and her newborn were found dead Thursday in a Brownsville apartment, but the police saw no initial signs of trauma.
A 34-year-old woman and her 8-day-old infant were found dead inside a Brooklyn apartment Thursday, authorities said.
Police sources said the unidentified woman and child were found inside a bedroom of the Legion St. address near Pitkin Ave. in Brownsville about 11:30 a.m.
The mother was declared dead at the scene, sources said.
The child was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, but doctors were unable to save the newborn, sources said.
Investigators with knowledge of the case said that neither mother nor baby showed signs of trauma.
Cops were investigating the deaths Thursday afternoon.
