Planning to vote Nov. 5? Registration ends Friday.
It’s now or never for New York’s unenrolled voters.
Friday is the final day city residents can register with the Board of Elections and be eligible to vote Nov. 5, when a new mayor will be chosen, along with a public advocate, controller and a slew of City Council members.
The board’s branch at 32 Broadway in lower Manhattan will be open until midnight Friday for walk-in registration. Anyone with a New York State-issued ID, like a driver’s license, can enroll at the site dmv.ny.gov/mydmv/motv-pop.htm.
You can also mail in a registration form (available on the board’s website) if it’s postmarked by Friday.
Those who are registered to vote, but looking to either switch or enroll in a political party, must also do so by Friday if they want to vote in the 2014 primaries for state and federal elections.
