Mayor Michael Bloomberg first shuttered Quicklane Candy Store on E. 125th St. and Lexington Ave., making an example of it. The legal action resulted in the arrests of the unnamed shop owner and clerk, sources said. Both were booked on misdemeanor charges.

The two-year investigation, conducted by the Office of the New York City Sheriff, cracked down on stores for violations including the sale of cigarettes to minors and the sale of cigarettes without health warnings.
