Obama To Deliver Speech, Attend Fundraisers In NYC Today

President Barack Obama is set to visit a Brooklyn school and attend two fundraisers in Manhattan today.

The president is scheduled to speak at Pathways in Technology Early College High School in Crown Heights.

Graduates receive a high school diploma and an associate’s degree in computers or engineering.

In his State of the Union address in February, Obama mentioned the school and praised it for the way it prepares students for the working world.

The Secret Service says only the northwest quadrant of park will be closed from noon to 6 p.m. during the president’s visit.

Initial reports had said the entire park would be closed.

After his trip to Brooklyn, the President attends two Democratic fundraisers in Manhattan before returning to the White House.

NY1 will carry the president’s remarks at P-Tech High School live starting around 3:45 p.m.
