Radio personality Dave Herman, a pioneering NYC host, has been busted in St. Croix for allegedly arranging to have sex with a mother’s young daughter.

A retired New York City rock ‘n roll radio host may soon be singing the jailhouse blues.

Dave Herman, the longtime host of “The Dave Herman Rock ‘n Roll Morning Show” on WNEW was caught in a sex sting after allegedly trying to set up a sex romp with a 7-year-old girl in the Virgin Islands, officials said Thursday.

According to New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman, federal agents intercepted Herman, 77, at the St. Croix airport Thursday.

The co-resident of Airmont, N.Y., and St. Croix was allegedly expecting to meet the 7-year-old girl and her mother, Kris – actually a federal agent logging into Yahoo! from Bergen, N.J.

There was no number listed for Herman, and emails to possible addresses of the longtime radio jockey went unanswered.

According to the West Orange Patch, Herman had been speaking with the 36-year-old”Kris” for almost a year. In that time, he indicated his desire to “engage in sexual activity” with her daughter, “Lexi,” federal officials said, confiding in Kris that “age 6 is the perfect time to start her being loved that way.”

“Innocence is also a huge turn on for me,” he said according to the criminal complaint. After trying unsuccessfully to get Kris and her daughter up to New York, Herman said he’d fly the duo down to St. Croix for a liaison, the complaint alleges. He purchased tickets from LaGuardia to St. Croix on Sept. 30, officials said.

The rock ‘n’ roll DJ is scheduled to appear in court Friday in St. Croix, and it’s unclear if the DJ creep has an attorney. He faces 10 years to life in prison if convicted.
