For the past week, New Yorkers have been sharing their ideas for the new administration at the “Talking Transition” tent in Manhattan, and on Sunday, members of Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio’s team were on hand to listen.
The co-chairs of de Blasio’s transition team, Jennifer Jones Austin and Carl Weisbrod, stopped by the tent in SoHo to hear what New Yorkers are expecting from City Hall in the next four years.
While the “Talking Transition” tent is not affiliated with de Blasio and his team, they said that it’s in line with what they’re trying to achieve.
“I think in many ways, it embodies what Bill de Blasio is seeking for New York City to be, very inclusive, very reflective and representative of the diverse communities and the diverse people, diverse thoughts and opinions,” Jones Austin said. “And I think Talking Transition does a great job of beginning to capture the diverse voice of New York City.”
NY1′s Road to City Hall will continue to broadcast from the “Talking Transition” tent all this week, starting Monday at 7 p.m.
NY1 is the television partner for the initiative.
