Woman dies after she jumps in front of Brooklyn train: source

A person was reportedly hit by a train in Brooklyn on Monday.




A woman died after she apparently jumped in front of an oncoming train at a Brooklyn station on Monday, sources said.


The woman, believed to be in her 40s, leaped in front of a Manhattan-bound M Train at Wycoff and Myrtle aves. in Bushwick about 9:30 a.m., the sources said.


She was dead before emergency workers arrived at the scene.

The apparent suicide left several straphangers stuck on the trains during their morning commute to work.


“This is annoying,” said Joanna Carrasco, 18, of Ridgewood. “I just called my boss and she is not happy. Especially since it’s so close to the holiday season. She is not happy.”
