To embody Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” Jamie Dornan had to hit the gym.
“I don’t like my physique,” the actor, 32, told Interview Magazine. “Who does? I was a skinny guy growing up, and I still feel like that same skinny kid.”
In order to play Grey, the sado-masochistic businessman who seduces leading lady Anastasia Steele, Dornan had to work on his fitness routine.
“I think was so much more to Christian that we covered,” Dornan said, talking about his preparations with director Sam Taylor-Johnson. “Someone who is careful to keep himself in shape, someone who spends obscene amounts of money on presenting himself.”
“A lot of that work was done in the gym and with costume,” he said. “We didn’t talk about particulars of the way he would move. But I’m quite awkward in a suit because I don’t have an opportunity to wear a suit very often, and this is a guy who lives in a suit — the best suit.”
‘Even Christian has two sides,’ he said. ‘Come to think of it, he has 50.’ Jamie Dornan talked to film critic Elvis Mitchell about ‘50 Shades of Grey.’ Dornan appears in Interview Magazine.

“But when you end up in a suit for 80% of the filming process, you become pretty comfortable with it,” he added.
Dornan told interviewer, film critic Elvis Mitchell, that he enjoyed playing characters with two sides.
“Even Christian has two sides,” he said. “Come to think of it, he has 50.”
“I guess I’m going to be using that line all over the planet in a few months,” he added. “Shouldn’t waste it.”
