Police Seek Suspect in Stabbing Death of Boy, 6, in East New York

Police are seeking a suspect after a six-year-old boy was stabbed to death in an East New York housing project Sunday evening.

Reports say the boy was found in an elevator inside the Boulevard housing development on Schenck Avenue in Brooklyn.

A seven-year-old girl, pictured here, was also stabbed and is in critical condition.

Authorities say they are looking for a heavyset male in a gray sweatshirt.

The suspect was said to have run east through the complex following the attacks. Police say they have also recovered a knife.

The attacks occurred Sunday just before 6 p.m.
