Woman, 63, struck by car in Brooklyn dies

A 63-year-old woman died Saturday after she was struck by a car involved in a multiple vehicle crash in Brooklyn, officials said.

The woman was about to cross Coney Island Ave. at Avenue N in Midwood at about 12:30 p.m. when three cars collided and one veered into the woman. Paramedics rushed her to Kingbrook Jewish Center, where she died of a heart attack, police sources said.

Six hours later, a 58-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a car while crossing Nostrand Ave. at Church Ave. in nearby East Flatbush, authorities said.
