Female Police Officers Accuse NYPD Lieutenant of Groping Them, Exposing Himself

Three female police officers are suing a New York City Police Department lieutenant for allegedly groping them, exposing himself and showing them explicit videos.

The sexual harassment claim names the city and Lieutenant Alexander Rojas.

Officers Maria Lampley, Claudia Melara and Dawn Sprague say he repeatedly touched them, made lewd comments and showed them videos of him engaged in sexual acts.

The women say he “retaliated” by threatening the security of their jobs and giving them undesirable shifts.

The officers and Rojas are assigned to the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

The suit seeks unspecified monetary damages and an end to Rojas’ behavior.

The city Law Department said it’s reviewing the allegations.

NY1 has reached out to the lieutenants’ union.
