NRGetty Images/iStockphoto Police took a teen into custody who aimed a gun at them, but did not fire his weapon.

A police officer shot at a 16-year-old boy in Brooklyn Sunday morning when the teen turned on him with a firearm, cops said.

The teen wasn’t hit and never fired his weapon.

Officers were responding to a report of a 17-year-old shot in the leg in Brownsville when they came upon the armed teenager, cops said.

“They ordered him to drop the weapon, he didn’t comply and turned to the officers with the firearm in his hand,” a police source said.

A male cop fired twice but did not hit the teen, cops said.

The cop was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for treatment for tinnitus, cops said. The teen was taken into custody and facing charges. His identity wasn’t released.

The 17-year-old teen shot in the leg in the initial incident was being treated at Brookdale Hospital, cops said.
