NYC Ebola Patient Upgraded to ‘Stable’ Condition

Health officials say the city’s only Ebola patient is responding well to treatment.

The city Health and Hospitals Corporation has updated Dr. Craig Spencer’s condition from “serious but stable” to simply “stable.”

Spencer will stay in isolation at Bellevue Hospital and continue receiving care.

He’s been in a special unit there since he called 911 and reported a fever on October 23.

Several days earlier the doctor had returned from Guinea, the West African country where he’d been helping to fight the Ebola outbreak.
