We’re learning a little more about the woman dubbed the city’s worst landlord by Public Advocate Letitia James.
The Daily News is reporting that while Robin Shimoff’s tenants are living in the city’s worst conditions she’s in the lap of luxury in a $ 1.2 million seven-bedroom mansion in Rockland county.
As of August 31, Shimoff has received 3,352 violations across the 13 buildings she owns.
Her building with the most violations is located on Decatur Avenue right off of East Gun Hill Road.
According to the Department of Housing and Preservation’s website, that building has 275 open code violations against it, including 26 that are considered the most serious.
Those violations include crumbling plaster, scalding water throughout an apartment and exposed flaking lead paint.
The Daily News says since August, Shimoff has reduced her violations to 2,490 violations.
