The Queens mother who has been charged with beating her 4-year-old daughter to death at a homeless shelter flew into a violent rage because the girl spilled lotion on the floor, law-enforcement sources said Saturday.
Latoya Curry, 35, of Briarwood, allegedly threw her daughter, Linayjah Meraldo, against a wall and struck her in the face and stomach at Briarwood Family Residence on Thursday, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
“This is a very disturbing case . . . The defendant is now facing serious charges that could put her behind bars for the rest of her life,” DA Richard Brown said.
Curry faces 25 years to life in prison on charges of second-degree murder.
