A woman in her 60s was crossing the street at Ralph Avenue and East 65th Street around 7 a.m., when a car hit and killed her, police said. The driver remained at the scene and there were no signs of criminality, cops added.
At 6:20 a.m., a man in his 60s was also crossing the street at 18th Avenue and 65th Street and was struck by a motorist, police said. He was rushed to Lutheran Hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
