Homeless man, 50, found dead in Queens subway station

A homeless man was found dead early Saturday in the mezzanine of the Jamaica-179th St. station of the F train, cops said.




A 50-year-old homeless man was found dead in a Queens subway station as temperatures dipped into the single digits early Saturday.


The body of the victim, whose name was not immediately released, was found in the mezzanine of the Jamaica-179th St. station of the F train about 4:30 a.m, cops said.

Investigators aren’t sure if he died from possible exposure to the cold or some other ailment.


The city medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
