Congressman Michael Grimm went ballistic on a reporter before the State of the Union address Tuesday and threatened to throw him over a balcony and “break him in half.”
The Staten Island congressman was on camera discussing the president’s speech with NY1′s Michael Scotto when the reporter tried to ask him about recent campaign finance allegations.
Grimm stormed off, and Scotto explained that he wanted Grimm to address to financial shenanigans surrounding his 2010 campaign.
Seconds later, as Scotto was still on camera, Grimm charged back and threatened him.
“You’re not a man,” Grimm could be heard saying on the video. “I will break you in half.”
After the video aired, NY1 political director Bob Hardt tweeted that Grimm threatened to throw Scotto off the balcony and onto the Capital Rotunda.
Grimm has been been plagued by campaign finance misconduct allegations.
The feds busted a friend of his earlier this month for illegally routing campaign cash.
A spokesperson for Grim did not return a call for comment.
