Cops bust sex assault suspect on Metro-North train

MTA cops took a man into custody Tuesday morning after a woman said she was sexually assaulted on a Metro-North train, authorities said.

The victim said she was assaulted on the New Haven-bound train, which left Grand Central shortly after 7:35 a.m.

After she told authorities what happened, the train was held at the Fairfield station, according to a Metro-North spokeswoman.

The MTA police searched the train, and took a man into custody. He has not been charged yet.

The victim is being interviewed by MTA cops.

The train was delayed by almost an hour during the police investigation.
