Menachem Stark’s money drawn over time: Trustee to judge

Brooklyn Police said that Menachem Stark was kidnapped by two assailants at late Thursday night. According to video surveillance footage, the two suspects were waiting outside Stark's office, which is located on 331 Rutledge Street in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, - as he left the building at 11:25 PM they jumped him, he struggled with them for several minutes, they then overpowered him, bound him with duct tape and threw him into a light colored dodge minivan, and drove off. Menachem Stark, pictured, was kidnapped and killed in early January. Now, it turns out $ 1.7 million was withdrawn over a period of time from a bank account linked to a $ 10-in-debt building owned by Stark and a business partner.

The $ 1.7 million that went missing from a bank account controlled by slain Brooklyn landlord Menachem Stark and his business partner was withdrawn over a “protracted period of time,” it was revealed Thursday.

Jonathan Flaxer, the newly appointed trustee for Stark and Israel Perlmutter’s $ 40 million-in-debt Williamsburg, Brooklyn, building, told a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge the cash vanished before Stark’s murder earlier this month.
