Police Seek Pair Who Allegedly Tried to Rape Woman in Queens



Police are looking for two men they say tried to rape a woman in the Ridgewood section of Queens.


The New York City Police Department released the above surveillance images of the suspects.


Officials say an 18-year old woman was walking near Putnam and Seneca Avenues when the men approached her from behind just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.


Police say one of the men hit her on the head, while the other choked her, covered her mouth and tried to take her purse.


NY1 is told that the first man then began to sexually assault her, but ran when a passerby approached them.


The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital, but later released.


Both men are believed to be 5 feet, 5 inches tall and in their early 30s.
