Two suspects are in custody in the fatal robbery of a 55-year-old cabby who was beaten to death near a strip club in Woodhaven, Queens.
Victim Nazmul Islam, 55, had accused his two assailants of stealing his car keys at Club Flirt on Atlantic Avenue last Wednesday, authorities said.
Carlos Genno and Nestor Rodriguez denied stealing the keys, but followed Islam when he left the jiggle joint to settle the score, police said.
Genno, 22, and Rodriguez, 20, allegedly jumped Islam at 76th Street and Atlantic Avenue, a few blocks from the club, emptying his pockets of cash and running off, officials said.
Genno, of Ozone Park, and Rodriguez, of Woodhaven, were apprehended Monday and charged with murder and robbery.
Authorities said it didn’t appear the duo had stolen the keys.
