NORTH BABYLON, N.Y. – A one-car crash on Long Island claimed the life of five family members from Brooklyn Saturday night.
State police say 37-year-old Myriam LeBrun was driving westbound on the Southern State Parkway shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday when she veered off the road, striking a tree.
Police say the car then burst into flames.
LeBrun and her three children, as well as the grandmother of the children, were killed in the crash.
Police are investigating the cause.
