Sources: Queens Man Fired at Police During Federal Search Warrant

Police and U.S. Marshals are investigating a late night shooting in Queens.

Sources say marshals with the fugitive task force went to a home in Springfield Gardens around 11 p.m. to arrest Oswald Lewis on a federal narcotics warrant.

They say Lewis came out from behind a door wearing a bulletproof vest and exchanged gunfire with the marshals.

He then withdrew to another room and fired more shots before he came out and was arrested.

Lewis was shot once in the hand and was taken to the hospital.

Sources say the narcotics warrant was from Virginia, but that Lewis was also wanted for a stabbing in Brooklyn.
