Demonstrators are set to hit Lower Manhattan today to call on City Hall and Albany to help children who they say are trapped in failing schools.
Charter school supporters are organizing the rally in Foley Square, and expect about 10,000 people to attend.
They say nearly 143,000 city schoolkids go to schools where 9 out of 10 students flunk English and math.
The group is calling on the city and the state to come up with a plan “to ensure no child is stuck in a failing school.”
The rally comes nearly a year after a similar event where charter school advocates marched across the Brooklyn Bridge.
