A man was killed when a fire ripped through his home in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.
The 61-year-old man was found unconscious in his Herkimer Street apartment as firefighters doused the flames, which began around 3 a.m., Thursday, authorities said.
The man was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released because his family has not yet been notified.
