Police say officers shot and killed a man holding a knife after being called to the scene of an argument at a home in Brooklyn Friday night.
According to police, a woman called police to the scene of a dispute she was having with her 28-year-old son in Sheepshead Bay at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Police say the man was sitting on the couch with a knife in his hand when they arrived at the home.
According to police, the officers asked the man to drop the knife, and when he refused, they shot him once in the torso.
He was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital.
Police say there were four other knives in the room.
Two other people in the home were not injured in the incident.
