9/11 Memorial Museum to Charge $24 for Admission

When it opens this spring, the 9/11 Memorial Museum at the World Trade Center will be charging a hefty price for admission.

The memorial’s president, Joe Daniels, says it’ll cost visitors $ 24 apiece to visit the museum.

The museum’s board decided in April to charge admission to help fund its operating costs.

The museum does not receive government funding for its programs.

There will be discounts available for certain groups, and hours will be set aside every week for the general public to enter for free.

Family members of September 11 victims will be allowed in the museum for free, and visiting the memorial itself will also remain free.
