High school student, 16, shot dead in Brooklyn

Iquan Williams, 16, a Frederick Douglass High School sophomore, was shot and killed in Brownsville on Saturday night.




A 16-year-old boy was one of two people shot dead in Brooklyn on Saturday, officials said.


Cop sources said the teen was shot in the head on Prospect Place near Thomas Boyland St. in Brownsville at 10:30 p.m.

“They got my baby! They got my baby!” a woman sobbed at the scene.

Relatives identified the teen as Frederick Douglass High School sophomore Iquan Williams.

A second victim was rushed to St. John’s Hospital in critical condition, sources said.


In an earlier attack, a 34-year-old man died after he was shot in the head outside a store in East Flatbush at 1:15 p.m., officials said.

There have been at least five killings in the city this year. Menachem Stark’s murder will up the tally to six if it’s determined the businessman — abducted in Brooklyn but found in Great Neck — died in the city.
