JetBlue, in Catch-Up Effort, Cancels Flights at Area Airports

JetBlue Airways has temporarily cancelled all flights at Kennedy, Laguardia, Newark and Boston airports.

JetBlue confirmed to NY1 it will; “reduce operations” at LaGuardia, JFK, Newark and Boston until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

At that time, the airline says it will “gradually ramp up again” operations until returning to a full flight schedule by 3 p.m.

JetBlue blamed the reduction on a need for a seventeen-hour span to rest crew members and service aircraft in the wake of the recent bad weather.

It’s not yet clear how many flights have been canceled.

Travelers are urged to check in with the airline by calling 1-800-JETBLUE or visiting jetblue.com.
