Police investigated the scene where a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Brooklyn. Weather could have played a part in the accident, police said.
A 75-year-old man was struck and killed as he crossed a street in Brooklyn Thursday morning, officials said.
Investigators are trying to see if the early dusting of snow caused a two-car crash that resulted in the senior’s death.

Witnesses told police that the victim was crossing Seventh Ave. near 65th St. in Bay Ridge about 6:50 a.m. when a green Toyota Camry slowed to avoid him.
A red Jeep Cherokee rear-ended the Camry, which lurched forward and hit the man, witnesses said.

“The (Cherokee) skidded and struck the vehicle,” a police source said. “The victim was crossing in the middle of the street. The weather conditions could have played a factor.”
Paramedics rushed the senior to Lutheran Medical Center, but doctors were unable to save him. His name was not immediately released.
Cops were investigating the accident Thursday.
