A man in his 20s died when his car plunged into a Jersey City canal early Wednesday, NBC reported, citing police.
The victim was pulled from the Morris Canal, off the Hudson River, about two hours after he drove off a parking lot on Liberty View Drive, crashed through a steel barrier and sank into the water about 3:30 a.m., the station said.

His name was not immediately released.
Police believe the man was the only person in the car, NBC said.
