Bill de Blasio was officially sworn in as the city’s 109th mayor outside his Park Slope home minutes after the clock stuck midnight Wednesday morning.
A public ceremony will be held Thursday afternoon outside City Hall.
State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman administered the oath of office outside de Blasio’s home shortly after the calendar turned to 2014.
De Blasio’s wife and children looked on as the swearing-in took place.
Former President Bill Clinton will swear in de Blasio at noon on Thursday outside City Hall.
