Pedestrian Struck and Killed Crossing 96th Street in Manhattan


A woman is dead after being clipped by one vehicle, then hit by another on the Upper West Side.


Police say at around 5 a.m. Sunday a 26-year-old woman was attempting to cross West 96th Street near Broadway.


She was clipped by the driver’s side mirror of an ambulance and knocked face down onto the street.


She was then struck by a Dodge Charger traveling in the other direction.


EMS pronounced the woman dead at the location.


Both drivers remained on the scene.
