Police Seek Husband in Connection With Queens Triple Homicide

Police are looking to speak with a 28-year-old man whose wife and two young daughters were found stabbed to death inside their Queens home Sunday.

Officers want to talk to Miguel Mejia-Ramos in connection with the murders.

Police say he is known to drive a white 2001 Chevrolet commercial van with the license plate 22128MD and a white 1995 Dodge Suburban with the license plate GHS2798.

Investigators say they answered a 911 call at an apartment located at 90-20 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica shortly after 7 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the bodies of Deisy Garcia, 21, and her daughters Daniela Mejia, 2, and Yaslin Mejia, 1.

All three had been stabbed multiple times.

Garcia’s brother-in-law, Romao Chuc, tells NY1 his son found the bodies.

“When I go inside, I take the blanket – because the two kids is covered with the blanket. So I pull the blanket when I see the two kids and they dead too. I can’t say nothing – they just died,” Chuc said.

Police say they received at least two calls for domestic violence from the apartment last year and the husband, identified as Miguel Mejia-Ramos, was the offender in both cases.

Officers took reports both times, but no one was arrested.

A friend of Garcia tells NY1 the woman told her she lived in fear.

“She say I scared of my husband, you know. I say, I say why you scared, you are supposed to call someone to help you, you know,” said Dianna Villa, the victim’s friend.

“I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it especially the kids,” said Alberto Garcia, a family friend.

Friends say they suspected something was wrong when Garcia and her daughters did not show up for church on Sunday.

Police say they are reviewing surveillance video from the pharmacy below the apartment as part of their investigation.
