A frantic search for a missing 3-year old boy turned out to be caused by what appears to be a misunderstanding.
Sources say Kah-yon Reynolds was with his grandfather and another adult when they got on an F train at the Smith-9th Streets station in Brooklyn.
The grandfather fell asleep, and reported the boy missing when he got off the train in Queens, but sources say the other adult was a friend who returned the boy safely to his home in Newark.
Sources say the friend didn’t feel that the boy should have been in his grandfather’s care.
Sources say the investigation is still ongoing and that charges could be filed against the grandfather.
