Cops are hunting for a handcuffed man in Brooklyn they say slipped away from parole officers during an arrest on Friday.

Hassan Brown, 21 — who was wanted for failing to meet with his parole officer — escaped after he was collared on Wortman Ave. near Vermont St. in East New York shortly after 8 a.m., officials said.

Brown was released from prison last August, after serving nearly two years for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Officials with the state’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision issued an arrest warrant for the ex-con on May 19, after he failed to make an appearance with his parole officer.

Authorities were still searching for Brown hours later.

Police urge anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
