The man was stabbed several times about the chest shortly before 6 a.m. during a dispute with three men on the downtown 1 train platform at W. 18 St. and Seventh Ave., police said.
Emergency responders rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he was expected to survive. Police were searching for three suspects. It was not immediately clear what sparked the vitriol.
