A wedding reception turned into a murder scene when a man fatally stabbed his cousin during an argument in a Bronx church, a police source said Monday.

Juan Martinez, 58, was killed Sunday night in a gym affiliated with Holy Spirit Catholic Church on University Ave.

A police source said Martinez and his cousin argued over possession of a can of Sterno, which was being used to heat food for the party.

The 37-year-old suspect stabbed Martinez in the right leg.

Martinez was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, but could not be saved.

His cousin was arrested at the scene and was being questioned at the 46th Precinct. His name was not immediately released.

The 9 p.m. incident capped a bloody weekend that included the shocking stabbing death of a 6-year-boy and the wounding of his 7-year-old friend in East New York, Brooklyn.

There were also 13 people shot during one nine-hour stretch, including two teens taking part in a East New York memorial walk for a friend killed by a stray bullet.

In neighboring Brownsville on Sunday morning, three teens were arrested after one of them shot another teen in the leg.

One NYPD officer fired at the gunman but no one was struck.
