Man punched in face in Queens

A 56-year-old man was in critical condition after he was brutally punched in the face on a commercial strip in Woodside, Queens, a police source said Monday.


The man, whose identity wasn’t released, suffered head trauma and bleeding on the brain in the random attack around 12:10 a.m. at 69-04 Roosevelt Ave.


The victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital.


The suspect is described as being Hispanic and in his mid-20s with facial hair. He was last seen in a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a dark-colored baseball cap.


Police released a photo of him from surveillance footage.
