Off-duty NYPD cop dies in motorcycle accident

An off-duty officer is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car while riding a motorcycle in Queens on Monday, police said.


The 28-year-old officer was near the intersection of Linden Blvd. and 158th St. in Jamaica when he was hit by the car at 4:55 p.m., officials said.


Paramedics took the officer to Jamaica Hospital where he is listed in critical condition, cops said.

Police are now investigating the accident.
