Police in Brooklyn say they have a former member of their department in custody in connection with a possible hate crime.
Investigators say anti-semitic graffiti was found spray painted in nearly 20 locations of Borough Park, on cars, stores, and a school between 13th and 16th avenues.
Investigators say they received a call about the vandalism just before 9 p.m. Sunday.
The graffiti consisted of swastikas and profanity.
An investigation is ongoing.
