The National September 11th Memorial Museum is taking action to address concerns over its gift shop.
Some victims’ relatives have said the shop and its merchandise are insensitive.
The memorial foundation’s president, Joe Daniels, says he plans to gather more opinions about the products being sold.
He says family members who sit on the museum’s board will be allowed to vet the products in the gift shop itself so they can have the right context.
Museum officials have said income from the gift shop is necessary to sustain the exhibits.
