The city’s first children will lead the way as the 32nd annual Mermaid Parade steps off Saturday in Coney Island.
Dante and Chiara de Blasio will serve as King Neptune and Queen Mermaid for the event.
The duo will be wheeled down the route in a 1923 wicker Boardwalk Rolling Chair.
The parade pays tribute to Coney Island’s own Mardi Gras, which lasted from 1903 to 1954.
